Swim Instructors Needed at Santa Maria Swim Club in Santa Maria, CA

As a Swim Instructor at Santa Maria Swim Club, you will lead swimming programs and offer both group and individual lessons customized for children of different ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who possess a genuine passion for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers while fostering a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven Swim Instructor to become part of our team and support our Santa Maria Swim Club located in Santa Maria, CA.

Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance as necessary

Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, with a preference for an educational or instructional background
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of multiple swim strokes and techniques
• Proficient in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching abilities
• Strong behavior management skills to handle challenging situations with composure
• Beneficial to have experience in childcare or sports coaching to showcase understanding of working with children in a structured setting
• Passion for swimming and working with children
