Job Description
At Burlingame Aquatic Club, we are seeking a Swim Instructor to lead swimming programs and provide lessons to children of various ages and skill levels. Ideal for students who are passionate about swimming, have strong communication skills, and can inspire young swimmers. Join our team in San Mateo, CA and help instill a love for the water.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is beneficial
• A love and passion for swimming and children!
