Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Los Altos & Mountain View A.C., you will be responsible for leading swimming programs and providing tailored individual and group lessons to children of different age groups and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who possess a genuine love for swimming, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers while fostering a respect for the water. We are currently seeking a passionate and self-driven Swim Instructor to become part of our team and support our Los Altos & Mountain View A.C. located in Los Altos Hills, CA.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering feedback and guidance as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, with a preference for educational or instructional backgrounds
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Proficiency in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching abilities
• Effective behavior management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is advantageous and demonstrates an understanding of working with children in a structured environment
• A genuine love for both swimming and children
