10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR! It is finally here, the end of 2012 and the beginning of 2013. This is the time for New Year’s resolutions, New Year Eve’s parties, and, of course, a break from work and school. There’s nothing like taking a vacation from all the hard work you have been doing this year; teachers, bosses, appointments, meetings, homework, office work, and of course those early mornings. This winter break is probably the most exciting for first year college students like myself. After working hard for four months, we get to return home to our families and share our “first semester at college” stories with them. High school students, college students, and of course working adults are looking forward to this winter break.

Christmas and Christmas Eve have passed us, but what a great Christmas it was. Now it is time for the New Year of 2013! I have to say that 2012 will definitely be missed. I wonder what kind of secrets and fun surprises are awaiting us in 2013. Some of us will be receiving our high school degrees or college diplomas; some of us will be receiving that new business position we have worked so hard to earn. There are so many good things to come in the New Year. I wonder what kind of New Year Resolutions everyone has set for themselves. Here are some of the Top 10 New Year Resolutions.

  1. Lose Weight
  2. Get Fit
  3. Eat Healthy Food
  4. Manage Stress
  5. Manage Debt
  6. Drink Less Alcohol
  7. Quit Smoking
  8. Volunteer to help others
  9. Take a trip
  10. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle


These are some of the most popular New Year Resolutions that people have set for themselves. New Year Resolutions help you set a goal for yourself that results in you changing something in your life for the better! New Year Resolutions are not the only things to look forward to, there is my personal favorite; the New Year’s Eve parties in New York. Performances by Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Neyo, One Direction, and more; plus the big ball that DROPS exactly at midnight! Start getting ready for 2013 by setting a New Year’s Resolution for yourself and either heading to New York or turning on your TV to view this popular event. Happy winter break and Happy New Year!
